Crimson bellied conure or crimson bellied parakeet is a relative to the pearly conure or pearly parakeet. These birds are found in the south-central Amazon rainforests of Bolivia and Brazil. This parrot have a yellow-green cheek, brown breast with pale white and dark brown barring, blue collar on their hindneck, red bend wings, brown-red tail, brown-grey beak, bare-white eye rings, and dark brown eyes. Crimson parakeets weighs about 85-94g. This conure feeds on fruits, palms and flowers. They live for 20 years or more and the most distinguish and attractive feature of this bird are the crimson-red coloured lowered abdomen. Juveniles looks almost the same like adults but their abdomen is slightly green, dark irises and duller plumage.
